Baptism at Shepherd of the Hills

Baptism is open to adults, youth and children, and infants.  Baptism makes us members of the family of God, committed to following Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord.  All the Baptized, whatever their age, church background, or personal circumstances, are welcome to receive Communion.

The baptismal candidates and their family

The "Baptismal Covenant": We make promises to God, and God makes promises to us.

The newly baptized child is anointed with the sign of the Cross--"marked as Christ's own forever."

He receives a candle, signifying that the light of the Risen Lord shines within him and through him.

Little sister was baptized, too...

and big brother as well.

At the party following the celebration of Baptism...

... the new Baptized Christian presented a gift to the church: an ostrich Easter egg!
